Shake Off the Dust - 2022
WRA is inviting U12, U14 and U16 players to the 5th Annual Shake of the Dust Camp!!
These dryland and on ice prep sessions are open to 24 players at the U12, U14, and U16 age level on a first come, first serve basis by signing up and completing payment through Karelo. Ice costs will be covered by WRA with fees going towards field costs and coaching honorariums.
Cost:
Cost for player attendance is $50 per player for all 4 sessions.
If your player is not able to attend all 4 sessions, please email the registrar, Katrina Ainslie at kmainslie1@hotmail.com. They will be placed on a list and will be notified in order of message received as to spaces available. We will do our best to accommodate all members. Players attending individual days will pay $20, per player, per session.
Time/Dates:
Session #1 and #2: Saturday and Sunday - August 20 and 21
10:15 am to 4:30 pm - Drop off and pick up at Royal Lepage Place
Session #3 and #4: Saturday and Sunday - August 27 and 28
10:15 am to 4:30 pm - Drop off and pick up at Royal Lepage Place
What you need to know:
Each date will each include outdoor warm-up, stretching and dryland training in the Boucherie fields and ringette specific training blocks focused on speed and agility and hand eye coordination in the Jim Lind or Royal Lepage ice rinks, followed by a fun scrimmage. The on-ice sessions will be run by Coach Wayne Wong and Coach Madi Klumpner.
Food and health breaks will be scheduled throughout the day. Please send your athlete with: dryland training clothing appropriate for the day's weather conditions including athletic shoes, a backpack containing their lunch, healthy snacks, water bottles and sunscreen, and all their ringette gear. Ringette gear will be stored in the rink while players are working on field activities.
